The latest ship to join the Tui (Marella Cruises) fleet is the Mein Schiff1 which is currently operating cruises for the German holiday market. The ship will be renamed the Marella Explorer and is due to cruise from Palma from March 2018 for UK holidaymakers. The latest ship has been called the Marella Explorer unlike the Tui Discovery and the Tui Discovery which will become the Marella Discovery & Discovery 2.

Marella All Inclusive Cruises

Marella cruises already feature all inclusive cruises and due to it’s popularity with holidaymakers it has been extended. The Marella Explorer will be exclusively all inclusive with ten different dining options and includes a pizzeria and a tapas restaurant. There will also be other dining options that are available at additional cost. Traditionally on cruises all your food and snacks were included and you paid for your drinks. Not only do Marella cruises include your drinks they also include tips so going on a Marella cruise really is all inclusive!

The Marella Explorer being a new style of ship can offer new cabin options previously unavailable to Marella cruise customers. There will be 14 new family balcony cabins that can sleep up to five people in this new larger style cabin.The Marella Explorer’s standard inside cabins are also larger than any others in the UK Marella fleet. The ship also has an adults only sunbathing area with loungers and pod chairs. For families there is a kids’ club with children’s pool and slide. There are lots of onboard activities for all the family including an indoor cinema. There is also a disco and a casino with bar wile the Lounge will provide live music

Marella Explorer Cruise Itineraries

The Marella Explorer will operate four different cruise routes from it’s base in Majorca. The popular ports of Barcelona, Lisbon, Livorno for Pisa & Florence, and Civitavecchia for Rome are all covered.

The Marella Explorer was launched in 1996 and was operated by Celebrity Cruises as the Galaxy and has a capacity of just over 1,900.
