Crete Weather – When is the Best Time to Go?

The best time to visit Crete will depend on what type of holiday you are looking for. For the majority of British holidaymakers it is all about the weather. So mid June to mid September will generally offer the best weather. For families with young children then going in May an average of 21 will be more comfortable and you should be able to pick up a cheaper holiday in Crete as well.

This can also apply in October however the school holidays in October can drive price up. Also by travelling in the quieter months as a family you are more likely to pick up a free child place holiday deal.

Generally there are no holiday flights after October until April at the earliest. You are able to get to Crete in the winter by air via Athens or by ferry from the mainland or another island. However if you are after a good holiday destination in the winter with a better chance of sunny weather then you are not really going to be looking at going to Crete.

Best Child Friendly Hotels in Crete
